Jawaharlal Nehru University

The Jawaharlal Nehru University, located in New Delhi, is one of the premier institutes in the country, imparting courses under various disciplines. It is not only one of the foremost universities in the country, but also in Asia and also it ranks within the top 200 Universities across the world. Ever since it was set up in the year 1969, the JNU has been continually striving towards promoting world class education to the native as well as foreign students.

The location of the Jawaharlal Nehru University makes it convenient to access it from all parts of the city. The sprawling premises have been built over an area of 1000 acres of land. The JNU ridge present through the very heart of the campus adds to the beauty and natural charm of the place.

Nehruvian objectives and principles can be very strongly felt across the mood and ambiance of the JNU premises and also in its classrooms and other activities. Social justice, national integration, secularism and a democratic way of life besides a scientific approach to all problems and issues are very evidently felt all throughout the JNU campus. The JNU Students Union and the Foreign Studentsí Association strive to keep the interests and welfare of the students intact.
