Khorana programme for scholars
University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW), the Department of Biotechnology of the government
of India and Indo-US Science and Technology Forum have partnered to jointly offer
scholarships to Indian students to undertake research for 10 weeks in UW
Eligibility: B.Tech, M.Tech and M.Sc. students currently enrolled in recognised
institution of higher education in the areas of biotechnology, including agrienitnral,
health and biomedical
Five year work experience
Offer: Stipend, accommodation and airfare

Luiss Guide scholarship
Luiss Guido Carli, Rome, is offering six scholarships for students to do a Master of
science in general management, a two-year programme slated to start in September 2009
Offer: Successful candidates will benetit from a complete exemption of the
annual tuition fee of euros 9,000 and will receive euros 6,000 per year to cover living
expenses. All selected candidates will be offered the possibility to complete an
internship in an Italian Company

University of Newcastle's research scholarship
Australia's University of Newcastle is offering research scholarships to Indian
students in fields of health, energy, environment, engineering and science
Eligibility: The candidate must have completed M.Phil from a premier institution in
India and submitted a formal thesis dissertation as part of the programme.
Offer: The selected candidate will get return airfare between India and
Australia, full tuition costs and a living allowance of up to Australian $ 22,000
(about Rs. 7.5 lakh) per year for up to three and a half years.
